Dr. Robert Sottosanti, Dentist
Dr. Robert Sottosanti (known as “Dr. Rob” by his patients) was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. Dr. Rob attended St. Christopher’s High School before completing his Honors Bachelors of Science degree in 2003 at the University of Western Ontario. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he went on to attend Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction (highest honour) given to the top 5% of his class.
Dr. Rob has continued to strive for excellence in and out of the office and takes great pride in his knowledge of the latest advancements and technology in the field. He continues to develop his skills and level of proficiency by attending seminars led by many reputable dental practitioners. Dr. Rob’s areas of interest include cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry and oral surgery. He remains dedicated to the detail and quality of his work. Dr. Rob is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Rob enjoys spending time with his wife Jen, their three children and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.
Dr. Stacey Cornelious, Dentist
Dr. Stacey Cornelious is a lifelong resident of Sarnia who attended Sarnia’s Northern Collegiate High School. In 1998, Dr. Cornelious graduated with honours standing from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and returned to her hometown of Sarnia to start her career as a dentist. For the past 21 years, Dr. Cornelious has established a family practice treating patients of all ages and is known for providing a trusting and comfortable atmosphere for the treatment of young children and anxious patients. Originally an associate of Dr. Ted Firth who has since retired, she has continued to model her practice with this same honest, compassionate and excellent care that was impressed upon her since the beginning of her career.
She was awarded the 2015 City of Sarnia Prelude to Excellence Award for Small Business and also volunteers at the community level. Her commitment to dentistry is also evident in the many hours of continuing education she attends to stay current on the most advanced techniques and materials used in dentistry today. In her free time, “Dr. Stacey” enjoys playing basketball with her two daughters, gardening and cheering for the Detroit Red Wings. She also enjoys attending her daughters’ hockey and basketball games all over Ontario.
Julie Kerr, Certified Dental Assistant Level 2
Julie is a Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant working with Dr. Sottosanti since graduating from St. Clair College in 2010. Julie spends most of her spare time playing sports, hunting, and relaxing at the family cottage.
Kristyn Durance, Certified Dental Assistant Level 2
Kristyn has been a dental assistant since 2016 and has her CDA level 2 certification from Fanshawe College. Kristyn lives in Sarnia with her husband, three kids and one cat. She joined the team at Lakeshore Family Dental in January 2019. Kristyn enjoys helping others and having fun while she works. Outside the office, Kristyn loves to spend her free time playing baseball and volleyball and watching her kids at their various activities.
Michelle Ladouceur, Certified Dental Assistant Level 2
Michelle is a Certified Dental Assistant Level 2 who joined the Lakeshore Family Dental team in 2019. You will see her working in the sterilization bay as well as chairside with Dr. Sottosanti and Dr. Cornelious. In her spare time, Michelle likes to spend time with her husband and two sons at various sporting events.
Jessica Clarke, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 16 years. She began her career in the dental profession as a dental assistant and worked for 3 years before returning to school for dental hygiene. Jessica lives in Sarnia with her husband Jake, and together they have two very active, wonderful children. They keep her busy with their many activities, hockey, soccer, swimming and figure skating. In between work and the kids’ busy social life she enjoys reading, relaxing and spending as much time as she can with her family and friends.
Stephanie Benacquista, Registered Dental Hygienist
Stephanie grew up in Sarnia and attended St. Christopher’s High School. She graduated from Fanshawe College in 2011 as a Level 2 Dental Assistant and worked for one year. She then returned to Fanshawe College and graduated in 2015 with an Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist ever since and joined Lakeshore Family Dental in 2018.
Stephanie enjoys spending her free time with her big Italian family and her friends. She enjoys exercising, snowmobiling and travelling in her free time.
Brittany Bell, Registered Dental Hygienist
Brittany was born in Petrolia and was bought up in Sarnia. She attended St. Clair High School and later St. Clair College in Windsor. She graduated Level II Dental Assisting in 2009 and Dental Hygiene in 2011. She has been practicing dental hygiene in Sarnia since graduating. Brittany enjoys travelling and cooking in her spare time.
Jen DeGroot –Registered Dental Hygienist
Jen grew up in Forest Ontario and attended high school at St. Christopher's in Sarnia. She graduated from Niagara College in 2007 as a Level 2 Dental Assistant and then in 2010 from Durham College as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is very passionate about her career, especially patient education and working with children. Jen loves travelling to new places around the world and enjoys going to music festivals (typically country or 80s rock), doing any sort of puzzles and spending time with her very large and crazy Dutch family, friends, and shih tzu Chester.
Michela Silvestre, Office Manager
Michela graduated from Lambton College in 2005 and has been working in the dental field since 2008. She lives in Petrolia with her husband and 2 young daughters. Michela enjoys horseback riding and playing tennis in her spare time and is a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings.
Jessica Taylor, Office Administrator
Jessica was born and raised in Sarnia. She attended St. Clair High School and Niagara College.
Jessica graduated Dental Office Administration in 2008. She has been working in the dental field since 2013 and joined the Lakeshore Family Dental team in January 2017.
Jessica lives in Sarnia with her husband Jimmy and their two children. She spends most of her free time cooking, camping, and being outdoors with family and friends.
